The Millésimes d’Or collection tells the story of a century of champagne. The Pommery and Heidsieck & C° Monopole champagnes make up the largest part from the collection.

In 1989, the average yield per hectare shows an average of 11,619 KG/HA.
Flowering
Rainy and cool weather arrives when the vine is most vulnerable. The most serious frost comes after two days of rain sometimes mixed with snow. In total, 6 000 hectares, or almost a quarter of the areas in production, are concerned. After such a nightmare, exceptionally hot weather brought the vines back to life.
Harvest
The start of the harvest takes place between September 4 and 18. The aromatic power of the musts as well as their analytical constitution make 1989 an exceptional vintage with specific characters that clearly distinguish it from most of those that preceded it.
