The Millésimes d’Or collection tells the story of a century of champagne. The Pommery and Heidsieck & C° Monopole champagnes make up the largest part from the collection.

In 1976, the average yield per hectare shows a very high average of 10,035 KG/HA.
Flowering
Flowering is early and begins around June 10 and 15. The summer being extremely hot, the soil was already very dry and the drought set in in the vineyard. The speed of veraison at the beginning of August surprised the majority of winegrowers.
Harvest
The 1976 harvest began on September 1. The pressing of the grapes was easy, they were generally very ripe. The constitution of the musts, given the high sugar content and the fairly low acidity, was judged to have particular characteristics and an exceptional constitution.
