Flowering develops slowly at first then ends quickly with very high temperatures. These highly variable thermal conditions, from the lowest to the highest, had unfortunate repercussions. Coulure, millerandage and a general attack of gray rot due to the heavy rains.
The ripening of the grapes in 1968 was one of the most laborious in recent years. The date of the start of the harvest began on October 3 for the black wines and on October 5 for the whites. It was therefore 5 days later than the previous year that the first grapes were picked and crushed.
